Compared to last week’s liberating message of “love your God with all your heart, all your mind, all your soul,” this week’s message casts a shadow over the dark motives within the human heart and points out the spiritual shackles of corruption. The key to those shackles will never be found in the deep pockets of other people’s opinions and superficial approvals. The key is within: seeking justice, having mercy, and walking humbly.
This reflection is based on Matthew 23:1-12.
