From the age of 9, my secret pass-time was re-imagining “dwelling” spaces. I would move walls, windows, colors, and textures all around in my head. It was such a soothing way to spend my time. Dwelling places have special meaning for me. Incapable of separating creator from creation, our entire lives are dwelling places for earthy, gritty experiences to encounter the holy and divine. When the two meet, God is palpable.
