This reflection was written in response to Matthew 15:21-28

Last Sunday was the day we’ve been waiting for all summer.  Once the children were dropped at sleep away camp with barely a wave goodbye for us, we parents drove off into the sunset like giddy teenagers sneaking out of the house after midnight.
